Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been one of the most talked-about pair after the infamous Oscar incident took place. Well, that might be a bit of an oversimplification as the duo has been on the news ever since the rumors about them being in an open marriage started circulating a decade ago. The relationship between Jada and Will has always been a subject of public scrutiny. And after the separation announcement, it became even more intense. 

Jada’s recent revelation was a surprise for not just fans, but also for the known faces of Tinseltown. While some labeled it as a publicity stunt, others, including Matthew Perry, were completely taken aback by the bombshell.

For quite a while now, the Smiths, especially Jada, have been facing the wrath of angry fans for numerous reasons. But being the relentless force to be reckoned with that she has always been, Jada did not curb. Recently, Friends alum, Perry, reacted to the separation announcement with a comment saying “Whhaaaaaat?” under an Instagram post from E! News.

The post shared the news of Jada revealing her separation from Will in a clip from her forthcoming NBC prime-time special with Hoda Kotb. It also shared the fact that their separation took place seven years back, which would be six years before the 2022 Oscars. Just like Perry, the news did not sit well with the netizens which led to a comparison between Jada, Meghan Markle, and Amber Heard a few days back. 

Perry has not been the only face in the spotlight to comment on Jada’s revelations. Recently, a popular talk show host broke her silence on the matter and criticized Jada for using her marriage separation to sell her upcoming book. 

The View co-host lashes out at Jada 

Jada, through an Instagram post, informed her fans about unraveling all the untrue narratives about her in Worthy. The 52-year-old will be covering her journey from a substance seller in Baltimore to Hollywood in the upcoming memoir. As per The View co-host Ana Navarro, the separation announcement by Jada was just another strategy to promote her book, which is releasing in four days. 

Navarro implied that this was not the first time Jada pulled such a strategy for financial motivations during her show. She said the actress drops such bombshells either to increase the rating of her Red Table or to sell books. The host then went on to say, “I find it unseemly” and warned the viewers to not trust people who put on a facade of happy marriage.
