Jada Pinkett Smith Releases Time Capsule Photos of Her Controversial Journey of Alopecia
The Oscar’s Slapgate fiasco divided the internet in stark two. Some sympathized with Chris Rock for the undeserving violence, while others empathized with Will Smith and credited the offensive, inappropriate joke for the anger. But all the fans saw was Rock crack, a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, and an angry Smith yelling, “Keep my wife’s name out of your (expletive) mouth” followed by a slap. Although the men fought and a war online ensued, the Collateral actress took a more peaceful route. She hoped that they would talk it out.
While her hopes for a reconciliation between the two spoke volumes of her patience, the actress and businesswoman has also otherwise been very open about her journey with alopecia.

The Scream 2 actress got diagnosed with the hair loss condition, Alopecia, back in 2018. In an episode of her show Red Table Talk in the same year, the actress confessed to experiencing the symptoms and being terrified when it started. Being honest about her multiple tests and her losing hair, she was not the one to shy away from advocating awareness. Just recently, the actress posted a pair of time capsule-like photos with a Now and Then picture.
The first slide featured her around the time she had an onset of symptoms. Following that was a picture of her proudly showing off her recent hair growth. Referring to some “trouble spots,” the actress embraced her slow and ongoing journey wholeheartedly.
Apart from being honest about this, the actress has been honest about this other controversial thing.

The King Richard actress admitted to this statement. She even added that her upcoming memoir Worthy would reveal all the details. Moreover, she had previously spoken about the great help that psychedelics offered her in the fight against mental health.
