No good could have come out of the Oscars 2022 scandal, at least not for Will Smith. Everyone was convinced that the rising tide of ‘cancel culture’ would swallow Will Smith’s career whole following the controversy. However, amid that dark and difficult time, there was one surprising silver lining- Will Smith managed to rekindle his bond with his family and especially, with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, or so the word on the street goes.

Now, the fragile truce that had reportedly been patched up in the couple’s stormy relationship is once again on shaky ground, thanks to Will Smith’s friendship with Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp and Will Smith have been spending a lot of time together lately, according to reports. Recently, they were spotted partying during their trip to Europe on a yacht with Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad. What fans thought was a new Hollywood bromance turned out to be an old friendship, an unnamed source told Globe Magazine. However, Jada Pinkett Smith is “furious” about her husband “flaunting his hangouts with Johnny and acting totally single.”

The source claimed that Pinkett Smith wants her husband to act more like a married man and not flaunt his bachelor lifestyle in front of her while “she’s been supporting him.” According to the informant, Johnny Depp wants Will Smith to rejuvenate his life with “great summer parties and a whole new set of friends.” However, Depp himself is reportedly struggling with a tough life, which has apparently pushed him further into the party scene.

Johnny Depp, like Will Smith, has weathered many storms in his personal life, particularly in his marriage. Last year, multiple reports about Johnny Depp’s partying caused both his friends and fans to be deeply concerned about the notorious bad boy. A source told Life & Style in 2023, “Johnny’s pals fear his partying is once again catching up to him.” There were also whispers about his alleged alcoholism getting worse.

The source claimed that Depp’s “boozing” has spiraled out of control as the Pirates of the Caribbean star “doesn’t know when to stop.” The insider, naturally, felt that the 61-year-old was too old to be acting like a “young rock star.” Given Depp’s current state, Jada Pinkett Smith’s reaction to Will Smith’s growing closeness with his party buddy might not be entirely off the mark.
