“It’s like Mrs. Wiggins did him in” – Almost 90 Years Old, Carol Burnett Reveals a Special Fangirl Moment from Her Time at ‘Better Call Saul’
As we are moving towards the future, we are also witnessing a lot of actors getting older. While some of them have been declared veterans, there are some enthusiasts who still show their will to act. And one of those enthusiasts includes 89-year-old actress Carol Burnett. Unlike many actors who call it quits after turning seventy, Burnett possessed a will to work, which is one of the reasons she landed on her favorite show.
The actress recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about various things. One of which included her being a huge fan of one of the world’s biggest shows, Breaking Bad. The actress is such a huge fan of the show that she has even followed the spinoff Better Call Saul of it. When questioned about it, she retold the story of how she got a part in it.

The Annie actress mentioned that she once had the chance to have dinner with Vince Gilligan and his wife Holly Rice. There she told him how fascinated she was with the show. It was then Gilligan told her that he might have a role for her. The actress was so excited that she told him that she did not care whether it was a single line, she just wants to be in it.
And that is how she landed the role of Marion, who takes down Saul in the show. She also recalled an old, and very popular character of Mrs. Wiggins that she played and said, “It’s like Mrs. Wiggins did him in.”

Mrs. Wiggins is the landmark role of Carol Burnett
The almost 90-year-old actress once starred in The Carol Burnett Show. This show featured a character played by her called Mrs. Wanda Wiggins. It was a comedy sketch created by Tim Conway, who created yet another character called Mr. Burnie Tudball. Mrs. Wiggins was a secretary to him, and these two created a pretty good show in the seventies.

The actress has won several Emmys and Golden Globes along with a Kennedy Center Medal and also a Grammy. She cannot believe the fact that she is going to be that old and feels more like her teen years. Let’s hope her enthusiasm remains the same way.
