“It’s like going to an…” – How Josh Brolin Described His Experience of Working With Will Smith on ‘Men in Black 3’
Men in Black is undoubtedly one of the most popular film series in Hollywood today. Premiered back in 1997, the action comedy movie took the world by storm and became massively popular among the audience. Not only did the Men in Black franchise give us one of the best action films, but it also introduced some incredible acting duos as well. One such iconic chemistry was between Will Smith and Josh Brolin. And previously, Brolin had a peculiar way of describing his experience of working with Smith.
Fans are no strangers to the fact that good chemistry between actors is a prerequisite for a successful film. Many of you might not know, but Brolin landed himself in the role of Tommy Lee Jones in a strange manner. Rather than auditioning for the role, the actor once did a Tommy Lee Jones impression while hanging out with director Barry Sonnenfeld. The actor managed to impress the directors who later cast him as Agent K in the 2012 film Men In Black 3. Brolin easily managed to gel in with the cast on the screens. However, the actor was rather surprised by Smith’s behavior off-set.

As reported by the Independent, Josh Brolin in an interview opened up about his experience of working alongside I Am Legend actor. The actor revealed, “We’re waiting for rehearsal, try this voice and talk about it, whatever. He’s like ‘M.I.B.!’ But at the same time, it’s just funny. It’s like going to an insane asylum.”
Elsewhere, Brolin even recalled his first interaction with Smith on the set. The actor revealed how the King Richard actor asked whether he did not like Smith, to which Brolin replied that he did not have to like him. Interestingly, Brolin added that he had not met the Men In Black star before saying yes to the movie.

Why Josh Brolin did not want to continue with Men In Black?
Men In Black was one of the most successful films when it first premiered. Not only was the film was one of Smith’s most profitable outings as an actor, but it also had a huge box collection. However, soon after he joined the film, Josh Brolin wanted to quit the film.

The actor previously revealed how he had a tough time initially while starting out as Agent K. Brolin briefly felt that he could not do justice to the character. However, it was natural for the American star to feel the pressure owing to the standards the other actors set. Strange as it sounds, Smith once put his life in danger to perform a stunt in one of the films. Furthermore, he even felt the pressure of matching the standards Tommy Lee Jones set. However, the actor stuck to it and the rest is history.
