Recently, the project that was supposed to be Blake Lively’s crowning achievement in her cinema career has turned out to be a nightmare for the actress and her PR wizards. It Ends With Us, as of now, is drowning in controversy- all thanks to the alleged feud between the leads, Lively and Justin Baldoni.

Now, the third lead, Brandon Sklenar, has chimed in on the It Ends With Us drama, and unintentionally further fueled the feud rumors.

There have been tons of rumors, insider reports, and speculations surrounding what exactly went wrong with Blake Lively and director/actor Justin Baldoni. Brandon Sklenar, however, believes that all these controversies should not overshadow the main goal of making It Ends With Us, which was to instill hope and build courage in abuse survivors. Specifically defending the women behind the movie, even though he did not name Blake Lively, Sklenar wrote on Instagram, “It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online”. 

While Sklenar’s statement was all about supporting the movie, women, and Colleen Hoover, he did hint that something “may or may not have happened behind the scenes”. From allegations that Baldoni made Lively uncomfortable about her postpartum body on set to Lively being difficult and uncooperative, fans are picking the reason that fits their own story behind the fallout. Still, one name keeps coming up in the feud, and that is Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds.

An insider confirmed to Daily Mail that the Deadpool actor was not satisfied with It Ends With Us' initial script and felt the need to step in and “help the film from disaster”. The source also revealed that the director, Justin Baldoni, “took it personally”. 

At the premiere of It Ends With Us, Blake Lively mentioned that Ryan Reynolds had his hands in the script for certain scenes. Although his aim might have been to help Lively make her comeback as successful as possible, the creative clashes seem to be the root of the infamous fallout between Lively and Baldoni. And after Brandon Sklenar’s post, it is all the more clear that where there is smoke, there is fire.
