Do we really need to remind you about the legacy of Will Smith, one of Hollywood’s leading stars? After all, one does not need to explain who he is, since even people with barebones knowledge of cinema have heard his name, if nothing else. The Men In Black star has cemented himself as one of the most bankable actors in our generation. While Smith surely enjoys every luxury in the world, the actor still has a peculiar way of looking at success.

Smith has always been a family man. The actor has established an image of being all about his family and has championed them whenever he has a chance. At the same time, Smith’s family has also been very supportive of him throughout his career. Interestingly, Smith previously revealed how his children changed his views on success.

Back in 2021, the Oscar-winner sat down with Jay Shetty and the duo talked in great detail about success. During the interview, the actor revealed how during different phases of his life he had to choose between being nice or winning. The star further explained how he spent a huge part of his life chasing materialistic success. Furthermore, after repeatedly attaining material success, Smith admitted he was not really happy, tempting him to question his mindset.

Despite breaking all the records with his films, Smith started to realize how his family was miserable. He explained that his biggest mistake was equating winning with happiness. However, it did not take him long to figure out the right mindset. The actor revealed to Jay, “It was really my kids who brought me out of that mindset.”

The 2022 Oscars were perhaps one of the most life-changing years for Smith. The actor hit an all-time low in both personal and his professional life. Not only did he gather criticism from around the world, he was even banned from the Oscars for 10 years. After almost a year following his ban, the King Richard star met up with Jay Shetty.

Mirror reported that the Men In Black star, along with his family, visited the professional life coach during their visit to Los Angeles. Shortly after, Shetty even took to Instagram, where he shared a glimpse of himself with the star, Jada Pinkett, Gammy Norris, and Lauren London at his ‘Love Rules’ show.
