“It truly felt like…” – Sydney Sweeney Reveals Her Experience on the Set of Her Upcoming Film ‘Reality’
Hollywood’s IT girl, Sydney Sweeney, is all set to present the truth about the NSA whistleblower Reality Winner with her upcoming film Reality. This film has been in the news since its director, Tina Satter, announced its film adaptation. She has written and directed a successful play on the same subject before. While Satter has worked hard to create this masterpiece, Sweeney also dedicated her time to bringing Reality to the camera.
The actress is currently promoting the film as it is about to release on HBO Max soon. Sweeney often opens up about her preparation for the character and how she set herself into the mold of Winner. The film is based on a very sensitive subject and hence the character preparation required Sweeney a lot of hard work. However, when Sweeney came across the real story of Winner, she was in shock most of the time.

The Euphoria star revealed that she did not live in the moment while shooting the film. The real story of Reality Winner shook her so much that she does not remember anything. In an interview with Indie Wire, Sweeney said, “I can’t remember a single thing. It truly felt like I was living a dream.”
The subject of the film is so sensitive that it does not seem completely unbelievable that Sweeney blacked out. She also accepted that she did not even remember whom did she talk to during the shoot. But what is so shocking about Reality’s story that Sweeney blacked out most of the part?

The film’s core subject is based on the FBI interrogation that happened with the NSA whistleblower. She was a former Air Force member and then worked as an NSA translator. She was accused of leaking information to Russians during the 2016 elections.

The dialogue and scenes in the films are based on the original FBI transcript. Sweeney, for once, went into shock when she read the script. She knew at that moment that this was based on something real, as usual, fictional dialogue does not seem very real. She also revealed that her performance in the film felt “claustrophobic.”

Though she had the pressure of bringing the Reality Winner on camera as realistically as possible, the actress tried her best to nail it. That is the reason why she is being considered for an Emmy nomination for best actress this year.
