The Stranger Things star then revealed how the red carpet can turn into a real pain if the "feet are killing you". Ryder added, "It really messes up the experience". To which, Jenna Ortega agreed, saying, "That is so true".  

Ortega further elaborated on Ryder’s experience. She explained how difficult it can be to concentrate on what anyone is saying “because you just want to sit down”. The actresses noted how their styles are quite similar as well, since they both have a habit of repeating their outfits. While this interview certainly proved how relatable the two actresses are to women everywhere, it was not until a recent Jenna Ortega interview that many learned about the real depth of their connection.

Praising the senior actress as a mentor, Ortega said she "couldn't be more grateful" to have had Ryder by her side, describing her as “warm and welcoming and kind and inviting”. The Wednesday star also talked about the unexpected connection she developed with Ryder, without realizing she “needed that from somebody who could relate”. 

Although Ortega could not exactly pinpoint what made them feel so connected, she did share a touching detail about their friendship. During a tough time in her life, Ryder made her feel valued and special, which, in her words, "meant the world" to her. Considering their camaraderie in the ELLE interview, it is clear how similar they are to each other, which might just explain their strong connection.
