A Minecraft Movie is like a cinematic love letter to the fans who grew up playing the game. The movie has surpassed expectations with good reviews from critics and audiences. When Jack Black's character Steve is giving Dawn, Natalie, Gareth, and Henry the tour of his village, they walk past a road where they find a pig with a crown among the village and other animals. They take a look at him, and he quickly walks away. That is a small tribute to Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade, which fans might miss if they are not quick enough to spot. Technoblade was a very famous YouTuber who had more than 18 million subscribers in the past, but he passed away in 2022 due to unsuccessful treatment.

The movie is filled with many YouTuber cameos which the fans are loving in the theatres. The love it's getting shown from all around the world is the reason that it is expected to reach the $1 million mark.

Released last Friday on a budget of $150 million, A Minecraft Movie made a business of 50+ million on its debut. So far it has doubled its initial investment over the opening weekend with $301 million, leaving behind its competitive Hell of a Summer.  It is the highest-grossing game movie at the moment and is anticipated to reach the $1 billion club.

This expected figure has also found much love from the fans who are wishing well for the movie and hope to see it rise among the ranks. And with its attempt to pay respect to other YouTubers by acknowledging them in the movie, it has won their hearts again.
