In December, a joint Instagram post from Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jon M Chu, and the official Wicked Instagram handle confirmed the sequel to Wicked will be called Wicked: For Good. Since the confirmation of its title, countless conversations have rounded out regarding who gets to play Dorothy, who features very briefly in Wicked’s plotline. According to Universally Addicted on Instagram, the catalyst of this latest rumor mill, Millie Bobby Brown is speculated to portray Dorothy in Wicked: For Good.

Though there is no official word or nod from the team, a TikTok user, Fergalukecious, also fed fodder to this narrative recently. As per him, the Wicked director has allegedly announced Brown to take on the role of Dorothy. Still, yet, the rumors remain baseless since such confirmation has yet to make headlines. However, fans have been contesting the news in the comments thread with an even more intriguing revelation that says Alisha Weir is set to play the character in Wicked: For Good.

Who will return in Wicked: For Good?

Wicked starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo has seen monumental success with its first part, and it is only justified that the second part lives up to the standard set by the predecessor, if not outdo it. In a conversation with Variety, Grande revealed they have shot Wicked: For Good, describing the filming as “unlike anything” she ever experienced. Given Wicked: For Good will continue the story they left incomplete, the stars fans most definitely can expect in the sequel include, of course, Grande and Erivo.
