As the two discussed flying capes and heroes, Sneider’s drumroll announcement landed on Margaret Qualley for allegedly circling on the X-Men front, “hot off The Substance.” “I heard she might be the leader of Rogue Nation,” Sneider teased as Rocha tried his darts to land on the speculative role.

In their Marvel-centric discussions on THE HOT MIC podcast, John Rocha and Jeff Sneider acknowledged Margaret Qualley as an actor who is far from the camp of rising stars, like Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, or Jenna Ortega, for a matter of fact. But having been a seasoned actor, both understood the weight she could bring to the plate as Rogue. For those uninitiated, Rogue is a Marvel Comics character commonly linked with X-Men.

Rogue first appeared in Avengers Annual #10 (1981), a creation of Chris Claremont and Michael Golden. Rogue initially seems like a reluctant supervillain, but she joins X-Men as a superhero. The character can absorb the psyche and faculties of other humans through physical contact, including knowledge, skills, and powers, by occasionally duplicating the characteristics within herself.
