As per their source, these are just rumors, as Matthew Perry did not even have a dog before his shocking demise in the first place. He shared Alfred with her ex, Molly Hurwitz, who has had him with her ever since the couple’s split.
This indeed puts these rumors finally at rest. Meanwhile, the cast issued a joint statement saying how they are taking time “to grieve and process this unfathomable loss”. The joint statement from Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer also read that they were “utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew”.
Throughout Perry’s 44-year-long acting career, the Friends cast had said a lot about him and his addiction battle. These statements brought to light some hidden aspects of Perry that the world had not been aware of.

Meanwhile, Schwimmer during a 2003 TV interview shared how hard it was for him to see Perry struggle. Even Lisa Kudrow opened up about Perry’s deteriorating health in 2002 saying how the entire cast “were hurting a lot”.
