The world is currently in a state of sorrow as they remember their “Friend”. Matthew Perry, whose character from Friends has been a central part of the lives of countless, has left the earthly realm. While fans lament the loss of their treasured actor, they are also trying to process the grief. Recently, People shared a report that provided insight into the circulating rumor about Kudrow adopting Perry’s dog. As per their source, these are just rumors, as Matthew Perry did not even have a dog before his shocking demise in the first place. He shared Alfred with her ex, Molly Hurwitz, who has had him with her ever since the couple’s split.

This indeed puts these rumors finally at rest. Meanwhile, the cast issued a joint statement saying how they are taking time “to grieve and process this unfathomable loss”. The joint statement from Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer also read that they were “utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew”.

Throughout Perry’s 44-year-long acting career, the Friends cast had said a lot about him and his addiction battle. These statements brought to light some hidden aspects of Perry that the world had not been aware of.

Jennifer Aniston, who has been the closest to Perry among all the castmates, revealed his “sensitive” nature during a 1997 interview with Entertainment Tonight. She was the first one to reach out to Perry, as the late actor himself shared in his memoir. Apart from Aniston, Perry’s on-screen partner, Courtney Cox, also applauded the Fools Rush In actor for his “ability to show very raw emotion”, during an interview with Buzzfeed. 

During his battle with addiction, his co-stars David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc tried to reach out to him. LeBlanc told People that despite trying to talk to him “there wasn’t a response” from Perry. Meanwhile, Schwimmer during a 2003 TV interview shared how hard it was for him to see Perry struggle. Even Lisa Kudrow opened up about Perry’s deteriorating health in 2002 saying how the entire cast “were hurting a lot”.
