Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was brought back from the dead because of a regenerative degenerate, the atmosphere around its releases has seen a major uptick in anticipation. Though this savior does not undo the previous mishaps that the studio experienced, there is a newfound excitement in fans like the multiverse just reset the clock on its blockbusters. With several high-profile returns of seasoned superheroes from Hugh Jackman to Robert Downey Jr., questions are also rounding up for a Young Avenger, Hailee Steinfeld.

Hailee Steinfeld portrayed Kate Bishop/ Hawkeye in Hawkeye and The Marvels. But with the Marvel Cinematic Universe getting its guns polished, the question remains whether she will find a place in the highly anticipated forthcoming slate of Marvel Studios, considering they are even bringing members back to life. According to Daniel Richtman’s earlier report on his Patreon handle, Steinfeld is confirmed to return as Kate in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Young Avengers.

Steinfeld’s last appearance was in the post-credits scene of The Marvels where Kamala Khan met Bishop and invited her to join the ranks of Young Avengers. In an interview in June 2023 on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor was asked whether she would like to reprise her role and return to the MCU with the Young Avengers. Right on point, she did not even shy away from her excitement to get back.

While confirmation is one thing, there has also been this rumor mill brewing for quite sometime about Steinfeld’s appearance in Thunderbolts*.

At the Arcane season 2 premiere, Steinfeld was asked about stepping into her Hawkeye role for the upcoming Thunderbolts*. Caught off-guard, she gave a classic Marvel dodge, responding with an elongated, “Ooooh, I don’t know,” before practically sprinting from the question. Considering Marvel actors have mastered the art of teasing without spilling, the real question is whether this coy performance will land squarely on fan theories or get lost in the multiverse.
