Over the last two decades, superhero films seem to have taken Hollywood by storm. From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the DC Extended Universe, the genre has seen unprecedented success, both critically and commercially. However, not everyone seems to think that the reign can last. After all, Tinseltown has been blessed with various other trends like murder documentaries, musicals, and even comedies. 

Now, former Iron Man star, Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her thoughts on the major push that has been going on behind the silver screen.

In a recent interview with Variety, Gwyneth Paltrow shared her insights on Hollywood's "big push" into superhero films. Although that was the genre that had made the actress popular with the younger generation, she claimed that it was only possible to "make so many good superhero movies that feel truly original." The 51-year-old added most filmmakers "want the best chance to have a strong ROI."

While Paltrow might have loved her time in the MCU world, she stated that trying to widen an audience could "sometimes hinder quality," or struggle to even have a "real point of view." The actress' point seems to have been proved with the release of Sydney Sweeney's Madame Web. However, that has not strayed fans of the genre away just yet and probably will not be happening any time soon.

Although some people seem to agree with Paltrow, the MCU seems to have more projects in store for its extremely loyal fans.

In the early 2010s, Marvel took over the world with The Avengers. However, since then, the superhero universe has blown up in a way like never before. With the MCU bringing in new generations of fans with every film, the entertainment company has no plans of slowing down. In fact, they have planned to release Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3, Venom: The Last Dance, and Kraven The Hunter over the course of this year.

So far, the Reynolds film has received a release date of July 26th, while the Spider-Man film ended up being pushed from November 8th to October 25th. In between both films, the entertainment company has also announced that the Aaron Taylor Johnson film would be making its way to theaters on August 30th.
