‘Invincible’ Creator Once Declared That Omni-Man Can Easily Trash This Evil Superman-Inspired Character From ‘The Boys’
Who will ever forget Amazon Prime’s The Boys? The series was on everybody’s watch list when it first came out and as its spinoff, Gen V, released to the same sentiments, the series’ everlasting impact was clear. Prime’s rendition of a superhero universe worked like a charm owing to its unconventional superheroes, the frontrunner of which was the antihero Superman, The Homelander. While the superhero displayed extraordinary menacing powers during the show, the creators do not seem to think much of him.
Given that the evil twin of Superman, with his wrath, managed to give the streamer one of its most successful series, one would think the creators hold him in high regard. However, Robert Kirkman believes he can easily be thrashed by an animated superhero.

Months ago, the three creators of Invincible, Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Cory Walker discussed potential character fights on Skybound. They ended up revealing that they had already pitted The Boys’ Homelander and their Omni-Man against each other for a possible fight. While the Superman-inspired character may have the upper hand in a few instances, Kirkman claimed that “Omni-Man would trash Homelander easily.”
Thankfully, he could back up his statement. He also went on to say that he had spoken to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the producers of The Boys, and that they had “conceded” that their antagonist was “significantly less powerful” than Invincible‘s much more powerful father. While that may be true, fans feel differently about Invincible himself.
Even though the battle was just a hypothetical question, it was hard for fans of Invincible to believe that their main character could take on Antony Starr’s character in The Boys.

Although pitting two of Prime’s biggest superheroes against each other could end rather badly, the creators of Invincible decided to set the record straight. While there was no doubt that Omni-Man could easily take Homelander, not everyone felt the same about Invincible, including Kirkman. However, Cory Walker stuck to his guns and said that the animated character would definitely win.
He even claimed that the outcome of the fight would be based on the development stage of his beloved character. Even going on to say that if it was the “end of the series Invincible,” then there was “no doubt” that the animated superhero would end up taking home the prize. The quote “like father, like son” may be very common in the superhero universe, but it does not fit here.
