Incomplete Dream? Will Ryan Reynolds Need to Forget His Dream of Owning the Ottawa Senators?
Just like the American Dream, Ryan Reynolds had this Canadian dream of being a part of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. After owning the third-oldest professional football club, Wrexham AFC, Reynolds had eyes on the Senators. He even seemed very close to being a part of it. However, according to recent developments, there are very thin chances of the actor getting the ownership.
Reportedly, the Vancouver-born actor had put forward a bid with a real estate developer Remington Group. There was also a tough competition as Snoop Dog also came into the picture. Along with these, there are plenty of celebrities who were involved in the bidding war to acquire the Senators. However, as reported by ESPN, they denied Reynolds’ request for an exclusive window to complete the deal. Apparently, it led Reynolds to pull out of the process.

Moreover, the Deadpool actor also had plans to take the Senators to a different height where it deserves. Looking at his success with the Wrexham AFC, the Canadians were also extremely excited about getting him on board.

To give away the entire team to anyone is the biggest and toughest decision to make. Therefore, Reynolds proved himself as a man with a plan for the executives. In December, the father of four met Commissioner Gary Bettman to discuss his vision of the Senators. Impressed by his vision, Bettman admitted he would love to have Reynolds on board.
The commissioner praised the People’s Choice winner and his smartness and his business sense. Moreover, because of Reynolds’ understanding of the sport, it seemed he had a chance at winning the bid. Not only in December but recently, after becoming a father of four, Reynolds flew to Canada to meet with the executives after attending the Wrexham match as well.
