Making her acting debut with 2010’s Shake It Up for Disney, Zendaya played Rocky Blue, a teenager. Thereafter, her roles as K.C. Cooper in K.C. Undercover, Rue in Euphoria as well as her film breakthrough with MJ in Spider-Man: Homecoming all found her playing a teenager in high school. Speaking to Vogue, the actress summarized that this had found her in a peculiar stereotype as she discussed “I’m always in a high school somewhere”.
“And, mind you, I never went to high school,” she threw the light on how her real-life scenario stood completely antipodal to her film roles. However, her latest role as Tashi Duncan in the upcoming movie Challengers will have her in her early 30s. Zendaya described this break as “refreshing” while hoping that “people buy me as my own age, or maybe a little bit older”. The comments also hold importance as the returning season of Euphoria will also have her move away from the high school roots of its previous two iterations.
Unfortunately, for her as well as for her fans, the HBO show has landed in major uncertainty.

The last season of Euphoria premiered in January 2022 and brought in as much as an average of 16 million viewers per episode to the streamer. However, an anonymous cast member recently spoke out that the chances of season three receiving a cancellation stood inevitably high. Furthermore, they also revealed how HBO has simply kept on delaying productions ever since the month of the season two premiere.
On its part, the Sam Levinson show disclosed that delays induced by the twin Hollywood strikes and several other factors have pushed the project back. However, owing to its commitment to making “an exceptional third season,” the show will happen. Fans, thus, stand in a dilemma wondering what to expect or even if the renewal of the show may be a good decision at all.
