On March 23, John Bell, co-founder of Walking 4 Hope, walked from One Call Stadium to Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground dressed as Deadpool. Deadpool held a special place in Bell’s heart because his late son Jake, who passed away in 2020, was a huge fan. When Ryan Reynolds got to know about it, he decided to back Bell, allowing him to share his story. Upon being touched, Reynolds stated about his newborn, "If I love him 1/10th as much as you love Jake", he would know that he has done a good job as a father.

Deadpool & Wolverine is about to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie for its opening weekend, which became pretty obvious from its pre-release ratings. 

It was a safe bet that Deadpool & Wolverine would be grossing $800 million at the least. But after seeing its killer ratings, it is not too far-fetched to say that the movie might just enter the billionaire club. Hours before the 2024 film's release, Rotten Tomatoes dropped its ratings, showing a 97% audience score and a fresh 81% for Deadpool & Wolverine. This came with the prediction that the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer could gross over $170 million in its first weekend.

If so, Deadpool & Wolverine would break the records set by the first two films, which pulled in $132 million and $125.5 million, respectively, on their opening weekends. Moreover, if the 2024 film indeed earns $170 million in its debut, it could make for a global opening of about $360 million. Seeing Ryan Reynolds' once-unlikely dream not only take flight but also make a huge impact in people's lives is the ultimate success story anyone could wish for.
