Change is seldom easy and stands even more resentful when it comes forced. Several of today’s Hollywood greats can trace their lives back to one key decision, one critical deviation from the usual that gave them their current stature. Yet, in nearly all of those retellings, one key recurrence would be hardships. From the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger to Robert Downey Jr., the path to a never-ending legacy was never easy. Thus, when Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney began her acting journey and started to understand the world more, she learned how her family tried to survive and recalled the troubles they went through.

Years later, the actress now stands as one of the most well-recognized faces around the globe and thus has managed to win back one lost piece of history.

In her early career, the 27-year-old actress shuttled between home and her acting classes in Los Angeles since her family could not afford to live in the city. However, things were hard back home as well. In a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Sydney Sweeney bared her and her family’s hardships. “My great-grandma had this beautiful house, two bedroom, cute house that they lived in,” she spoke of an ancestral family house that had to be sold off as they could no longer afford it. However, now, she has won back the house.

Speaking of her early troubles, Sweeney recalled “I watched my parents lose a lot.” The actress went on to state how her family filed for bankruptcy and living on the bare minimum. Yet thanks to her talent, she now is on track to win it all back. Interestingly, Sweeney’s grandmother and mother were also born in the same house and the former still lived in one adjacent to it, making her a neighbor. Moreover, she called back her statements, “I didn’t want to fail them (her parents),” and now she can confidently boast that she did not.
