Ethnically ambiguous as she was ‘pegged&#8217; in the industry, Markle used the opportunity to dive into multiple auditions, morphing from a black African American to a white Caucasian. Nonetheless, all of it went in vain. “I wasn&#8217;t black enough for the black…I wasn&#8217;t white enough for the white,” expressed a helpless Markle back then. It only left her “somewhere in the middle as the ethnic chameleon who couldn&#8217;t book a job,” she added.

Time and again, the actress-turned-duchess has expressed how the US network show had completely altered her life. In a phase where all she would get was disapproval, disappointment, and distinction, Suits was the only place that recognized her talent.
