After Jada Pinkett Smith‘s sudden spree of revelations, the world finally thought it had reached its end once her memoir came out. However, she is now opening up about other problem areas in her life. While fans are still not completely over the star’s admittance of a separation between her and Will Smith, The Matrix actress is now opening up about her struggles with depression and intrusive thoughts.
While the actress has always been open about the mental health issues she has faced, this time she brought everything to light in a podcast with a star from The Big Bang Theory.

A little less than a month since Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her marriage woes, the actress is back in the spotlight. In her recent story on Instagram, she shared a clip from her podcast interview on Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown. The clip showed the 52-year-old talking about the “dark” thoughts that had gone through her head when she was struggling with depression.
“I thought I was possessed,” Pinkett Smith said in the clip. She also opened up about how it felt when she realized that they were her thoughts. While it was undoubtedly a difficult time for the star, her memoir, Worthy, also talks about how her children helped her through that phase. Jada Pinkett Smith also revealed that she had had suicidal thoughts, however, she had already opened up about how she dealt with those feelings.
While not everyone approved of how she had made it through to the other side, she revealed that her children, Willow and Jaden Smith, were the ones who changed her outlook on life.

Over a decade ago, Jada Pinkett Smith was in the worst phase of her life. Even though the actress had so much going for her, she struggled with her mental health. Especially with her self-esteem and suicidal thoughts. A month ago, she opened up about that time in her life. While she had already penned down a lot of it in her bombshell memoir, Worthy, there were some pieces of the story that fans already knew.
She recalled that her son, Jaden, had told her about one of his friend’s dad who had gone through a similar situation. He told her that the dad had been a part of an ayahuasca ceremony and it had helped him make his way through the depressive fog. That is when the star decided to try it for herself. Thankfully, the first experience was enough to push away the suicidal thoughts completely. However, she did not stop there, she also went through a psychedelic experience with her children that when revealed did not sit right with fans.
