Beyond 1994, as Friends aired across television screens, Jennifer Aniston rose to prominence. Ushering to the personality and newfound fame as America’s sweetheart, the actress made herself and her sitcom character, Rachel Green, household names. Soon after, the gates of Hollywood opened for her to test her limits, and as she made massive inroads with one movie after another, a desire to switch personas or roles to showcase her acting prowess grew. While she may never lose or even let go of Friends, Horrible Bosses gave her something new to gauge herself against.

In 2011, Jennifer Aniston starred as one of the leads in the comedy crime flick Horrible Bosses. Reprising her role in 2014 with the second installment of the same as Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S, the actress had one key reason for the return. Speaking to James Kleinmann back in November 2014, the now 54-year-old revealed that her stint as the flirtatious and wild-fantasied character came as a sharp departure from her sweet screen image built on from Friends.

“I think sometimes we just there’s just a part that gets accessed on an end.” Summarizing that the repetitive trope of playing similar characters was drawing her out, Aniston knew that Horrible Bosses just had sufficient scope for her “to sort of break out”. Remarkably, the fashion diva stood right in believing her intuition. A slew of opportunities came ringing in for the actress and her desire to tap into the unexplored side of her talent has now made her rule the screens with The Morning Show.
