Henry Cavill is returning to action soon! The British superstar, famous for his impressive physique and action-hero roles in films like Superman and Mission: Impossible – Fallout, has added a new thriller to his portfolio. The teaser of Argylle dropped three months ago and teased some intense fight scenes from exhilarating car chases to explosions and hand-to-hand combat. However, the creators have kept most of the plot under wraps, maintaining the mystery around the project.

This did not stop the actor from sharing his opinion about the spy thriller and what he would expect from it in the long run.

Total Films recently rolled out a new look of the movie Argylle starring Henry Cavill in the titular role. The outlet also talked to the star about his role and if he would like to reprise it in potential future installments. In his response, the former Superman said “I think it’s a fun character,” and revisiting it depends on where the film takes the character.

He reiterated that he has a great bond with the director of the film Matthew Vaughn, so it would not be easy for him to opt out. But it all comes down to how creators build the story. “As long as the story is good, and the character has a place to go, and it fits in with everything else,” he explained. Thus, Cavill would like to return as long as he gets the chance to build the character the way he wants. 

Besides this, the Enola Holmes star did not reveal anything for fear of spoilers. However, with its star-studded cast, intriguing premise, and promises of high-octane action, the film is poised to be a major cinematic event.

The movie sports an impressive ensemble from bona fide movie stars to award-winning actors and newcomers. Bryce Dallas Howard has played the role of author and Sam Rockwell plays another spy named Aiden. Also, the sensational music figure Dua Lipa has made her debut in show business with her role. Meanwhile, with a release date set for February 2, 2024, and anticipation of the film reaching a fever pitch, Cavill’s interest in future projects would only add to the hype.
