The unlikely father- and son-in-law duo of Chris Pratt and Arnold Schwarzenegger are blossoming again. Ever since the Marvel star has become a part of the Schwarzenegger family, they have become really close to each other. From working out together to christening Pratt’s son and whatnot, the internet always gets to hear the stories about their ever-strengthening bond.

While The Terminator actor himself is a tough guy and has this intimidating disposition about himself, Schwarzenegger as a family man is the best thing one could perhaps ask for. And it seems like Pratt is living that dream. The world may know him as GOAT, but to his son-in-law, Schwarzenegger is a loving father and a talented person with a plethora of experience. But the admiration is not one-sided between them; the father-in-law too has grave respect for Pratt and finds him truly extraordinary.

What makes us say that? Well, in a recent chat with ExtraTV, the 75-year-old had plenty of praise for the Jurassic World actor. Specifically, his chess learning techniques. Talking about their chess sessions, the former Governor of California admitted that even though Pratt has just started, “He’s very, very smart, and he’s a quick, quick learner. I think he’s extraordinary.”

The story unraveled when the host, Billy Bush, mentioned how Pratt mentioned to him during a textual conversation that he couldn’t beat the 75-year-old in chess despite bringing their game to a draw a few times. When Brush asked if Schwarzenegger was a chess master, the actor quickly denied and sang praises of his son-in-law.

He admitted that he has never been able to beat his father-in-law in the game and that “he’s very, very good.” Notably, Chris Pratt won Schwarzenegger’s heart when he decided to propose to his daughter by proposing a workout together. The veteran actor had previously confessed that it was only after that workout session that Schwarzenegger was able to approve of his daughter’s relationship. And it seems like now they have grown up to become best chess buddies.
