“I never saw them fight”- Unlike the Duke, Meghan Markle Once Revealed How Peaceful Her Childhood Was, Despite the Parents Divorce
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, undoubtedly had a tough journey. Especially when it comes to their childhood. While the Duke suffered the loss of a parent growing up to a neglected youth, the former Suits actress had her own struggles. Coming from an upper middle-class family, Markle had to deal with mid-poverty, separated parents only to end up in a bigger mess that was the royal family. However, one thing she has always been grateful for is how her parents cooperated with her.
In an age-old interview with Vanity Fair Magazine, in 2017, the former actress weighed on a series of intriguing questions about her life. Zooming in and out between her then-boyfriend, Prince Harry, the eventual change, and her last stories like her childhood and others, she said it all. When speaking of her parents, her statements stood pretty much the moderated.

Although her parents divorced, her mom, Doria Ragland, and father, Thomas Markle, did everything they could to make it easier for Markle. Admitting the same, the Suits actress said, “What’s so incredible, you know, is that my parents split up when I was two, [but] I never saw them fight”. Despite getting a divorce, they served their duties of being parents to Markle. Co-Parenting their two-year-old, the two would take her out on vacations, have dinner, and watch family dramas on TV, as Markle said.
“We were still so close-knit,” she revealed. Markle further added how her life changed when she stepped out of the home for higher studies.

When speaking of her higher studies, Markle mentioned how she left for Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Bagging the seat, she became the first-ever member of her family to graduate from college. She further went on to get a double major in theater and international relations. Markle always had a bigger drive for her acting career. Nonetheless, her line with international relations has come a long way with her.
Along with being a successful TV actress, the Duchess also became a global icon for the United Nations. Becoming the ambassador for Canada’s World Vision, she became a women’s advocate for the United Nations as well. She previously worked at the US embassy in Argentina during her senior years, as she revealed.
