It is through his own stories and memories that Will Smith is giving out lessons of success. The Will author shared a complicated relationship with his ‘daddio’ but showed thanks for teaching him some aspects of life. One of the chapters from his book called Wall told the tale of young Smith and his brother Harry Smith being assigned a task by Willard Carroll Smith Sr. He asked them to build a twelve feet wall outside his shop.
It was a task for adults, let alone two young and inexperienced boys doing it. It seemed impossible at first, but his father asked them to focus on putting bricks instead of thinking of the wall. The MIB actor confessed, “as much as I hated to admit it, I started to see what he was talking about.”
Nearly a year after they began, the wall was finally complete. This was a reminder by their father to realize that nothing is impossible.
