Back in 2020, the Friends star got candid about her childhood in an interview with Grazia magazine. During the conversation, Jennifer Aniston was asked how she kept herself motivated and happy in an industry with so many failures. She ended up answering the question by saying her outlook on life came “from growing up in a household that was destabilized and unsafe.”
Aniston went on to say that she grew up around adults who were “unkind to each other” and it made her want to live her life differently. While most people would have taken those qualities in, she recalled thinking, “I don’t want to be that,” for anyone else. Although it was not the ideal circumstance for a child to grow up in, the Just Go With It actress seemed to take it in her stride. However, she also revealed that she was not always a good child.
While the 54-year-old has since moved on and dealt with any trauma from her childhood, in her younger days, she revealed that she was quite the rebel.

In another interview with Rolling Stone, Jennifer Aniston came clean about the fact that she was more like her iconic character Rachel Green than most people realized. While the world had only seen the charming and positive side of the actress for close to a decade, she decided to set the record straight. She revealed that when she was in school, her teachers thought her to be “the worst” student as she did not pay any mind to her education.
However, it was not until she went to a performing arts school that she ended up falling in love with acting and the art of learning. Although it may have taken her years to figure out that acting was where she was meant to be, the change in school and one positive teacher helped her make those dreams a reality.
