Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s split was undoubtedly one of the most high-profile divorces in the industry. During a 2006 interview with Vanity Fair, the Scream actress crushed the idea of Pitt cheating on Aniston while they were still together. The 59-year-old said, “I don’t think he started an affair physically, but I think he was attracted to” the Maleficent star. 

Cox further went on to appreciate the Fight Club actor’s honesty in confessing his attraction for Jolie to Aniston. Considering how most people tend to hide these feelings from their partners, the actress said, “At least he was honest about it”. Even post the couple’s divorce, an insider told People Magazine how the couple “lost sight of themselves as individuals”, which became the reason for their split along with their busy schedules that kept them away from each other. Cox further revealed how Pitt fought his attraction to the Gia actress for a very long time. 

Over the years, both Aniston and Pitt have expressed their mutual admiration for each other despite the split.

The couple also reunited at the backstage of the 2020 SAG Awards, which caused an online frenzy. Both the winners of the SAG Awards congratulated each other and seemed genuinely happy for one another. However, fans started building castles in the air after the stars’ pictures went viral. Fans who wanted to see the couple together for over a decade started anticipating a romantic reunion. While it is still up in the air whether the couple will ever patch up, both the stars have moved on in their respective lives and are defining “ex goals”.
