“I don’t read any press”- Meghan Markle Once Revealed Her Savage Life Mantra to Steer Clear of The Noise
The media would never have enough of the Duchess of Sussex. Ever since she stepped into the ethos of the royal family, and even before that, Meghan Markle has always been a tabloid fixation. While her close associates wage war against the media, defending Markle in public, the Duchess never seemed to open her mouth to the media. Except for the time, she and Prince Harry sat for the Bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview and Netflix six-part docuseries.
Long before that, Markle once expressed how she had been successfully giving a cold shoulder to all the tabloid controversies around her. As revealed from an age-old Vanity Fair archive of October 2017, Meghan Markle spoke about how she has mastered the art of what Britishers call “ostriching”. Replying to the host, Markle said, “I don’t read any press. I haven’t even read press for Suits”. Even at the height of her career, Markle still kept the press and media at a distance.

“The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise,” stated Suits star. When it came to the royal family and its scandalous press affairs, Markle had a clear tactic for dealing with that too. What we think, or so does the Duchess now, is frightful to her life. But back in the day, it used to be quite simple for her and her boyfriend, Prince Harry.

During the beginning of their courtship, the couple managed to spend six months or so in the bliss of their low-key, quiet love. The media did not have a glimpse of it by then. However, the day paparazzi spotted Britain’s Prince with his new girlie, followed by the Kensington Palace announcement, it all fed the frenzy.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Markle said, “I can tell you that at the end of the day, I think it’s really simple.” As she further continued she detailed how she and the Prince handled it. In Markle’s words, “We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.”

However, nothing had changed on this side. “I’ve never defined myself by my relationship,” affirmed Meghan Markle at last.
