Blood, fire, and wails everywhere! The Witcher fans, brace yourselves. A new teaser has just surfaced for Henry Cavill’s The Witcher’s Season 3 Part 2 and it appears we are in for a bloody and deeply heartfelt conclusion. The series has always been about a universe where magic, creatures, and politics intertwine. Moreover, it has been about Geralt and his journey. However, it also has been about the actor’s acclaimed portrayal of his character. But that does not seem to be the case anymore.

However, it now gets ready to lose one of its most important traits. The teaser takes in a dark and visually somber tone. We witness Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia in action and combat in a likely final confrontation against a horde of enemies while surviving a grave injury. Moreover, it provides glimpses into the connections Geralt shares, with both Ciri and Yennefer. It concludes with an ominous “We didn’t come this far just to abandon each other.” But it does abandon someone!

It is no secret that fan-favorite Henry Cavill has exited the show and the second part of this season is meant to culminate his journey as Geralt. The teaser gives us a glimpse of what the beloved actor’s character will have to deal with in the final three episodes of the season, which are set to be released on July 27, 2023. He will have to protect his surrogate daughter, Ciri. Alongside, he will also have to reunite with his love, Yennefer.

It gives a glimpse of some of the elements from the books and games of the Witcher universe. Fans are eager to see how these aspects will be depicted on screen and the impact they will have on Geralt’s destiny. It marks an end for Henry Cavill, as his last appearance as Geralt of Rivia, moving on to different projects.

However, The Witcher series is just not done yet.

What’s next for Henry Cavill’s The Witcher?

It probably will never be the same ever again. But this is not the end for The Witcher fans. The future holds a big change. Following a run of three seasons as the legendary monster slayer Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill will perhaps now pass the torch to none other than Liam Hemsworth as a leading character role. Both actors took to social media to validate this news. Also, Netflix has green-lit a fourth season of the show with Hemsworth in the lead.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has promised that the next seasons would be lore-accurate and respectful to the character and the actor. The Independence Day: Resurgence actor also expressed his excitement and honor to play Geralt. The general consensus among fans remains that of disappointment with The Man of Steel actor’s departure as his acting is what made the show popular in the first place.

However, there is anticipation and hope as fans look forward to the fate of Geralt in Season 3 while also keeping their fingers crossed for Season 4. Even as news surfaces that the next season is being done in a not-so-cohesive manner.
