Hollywood has its ups and downs. Sometimes, it is the studios, at times it is the movies, and sometimes it is the artists themselves. Thus, Tinseltown is never devoid of buzz. However, the latest one is quite strong in its foothold. In perhaps one of the most talked about A-list marital fallouts since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, Jada Pinkett Smith has Will Smith in the spotlight again. Moreover, the highlight is once again that eventful night of the 2022 Oscars which landed the 55-year-old actor both his best and worst moments of cinema fame.

Indeed, the Madagascar actress was as shocked as any at what unfolded on stage that night. However, she also seems to have found a ray of positivity in that moment of sheer rage.

The resounding success that Will Smith had with winning Best Actor for King Richards stood deafened by the silence his slap to Chris Rock had garnered mere moments ago. As per his wife’s recent revelations, the duo was separated at the time of the 2022 Oscars. Thus, when Smith mouthed a sentence to the presenter after getting down from the stage, “my wife” was the part that gave Pinkett a moment of awakening. At an event on October 16, Pinkett said, as per CBR, “I was like, I’m riding with you.”

The statements held her to such an extensive emotional vantage that she resolved, “I am not gonna leave your side.” Moreover, these comments come days after Pinkett had attributed the “wife” part to leaving her in a state of shock more than the actual slap. Regardless, she continued with her statements that the assurance she found in the actor standing up for her act was more than plenty to have the duo move towards a working arrangement for their marriage.

Will Smith was already en route to superstardom years before his marriage. The Men in Black actor first met Jada Pinkett on the sets of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1994. Impressed by her talents, he finally tied the knot with her in 1997 after a brief dating period. At that time, the actress was battling depression and suicidal thoughts. Often struggling to hold her place in life, Smith came to her as a miracle.

In earlier interviews, she had admitted to being so love struck by her husband that she would forego her medicines. Adding that the actor became her “drug” and being around him made her feel “cured”. Yet, after sharing two kids, the couple is now marred by their longest-running separation to date. With no resolution in sight, a formal statement from the actor is all that is awaited.
