The Madagascar actress recently dropped bombshells when she revealed her seven-year-long and continuing separation from Will Smith. In her latest appearance on the Jay Shetty podcast, Jada Pinkett took head-on the many notions that surrounded the duo’s marriage, even the ones regarding them having an open relationship. Rebutting those claims and expanding on the details already covered in her memoir, Worthy, the 52-year-old, said, “I am just a realist in a lot of ways.”

Elaborating on it further, the actress explained that her union with the 55-year-old actor was rather unconventional. To tackle their bond, she had a working agreement with him. “Let’s be in partnership and let’s talk about that,” Pinkett summarised how she handled the many affairs surrounding them. Steering clear of any accusations of cheating, she revealed how she handled these “temptations”. The best to move forward without hampering their marriage was to be open and talk about it.

The duo’s marriage was often in the spotlight for rumored controversies, which, as per Pinkett, never had any claim to be true.

An ‘entanglement,’ a ‘soulmate,’ and a confession were the foundation of the duo’s marriage

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have had their own share of affairs to be singled out for. In 2020, Pinkett admitted to an “entanglement” with singer, August Alsina, on the Red Table Talk show. Meeting Alsina in 2015, Pinkett developed a close bond with the rapper owing to their shared issues of addiction when she was briefly separated from the Men in Black actor.

Another talking point happened when Pinkett recently acknowledged the deceased Tupac Shakur as her “soulmate”. Although strictly denying any intimacy, she made it clear that “the chemistry – it’s about a friendship-love chemistry”. Moreover, all is not shiny on the other side of the coin either. Will Smith, too, has acknowledged being unfaithful in his memoir, Will. Years of trouble seemed to have finally led to this breaking point.
