Who one can ever forget the joy and laughter that the NBC sitcom Friends brought its fans? From pranks to one-liners and more, the series had the world hooked. However, with the untimely passing of one of the show’s most treasured actors, Matthew Perry, there is one scene that has fans close to tears after the news broke.

While most would expect it to be a scene that featured the star in all his glory, it was something else entirely. Although it did feature two of Chandler Bing’s favorite things from the show.

The one without Chandler Bing

Nobody will ever forget the laughs that Matthew Perry managed to pull off as Chandler Bing. While the world may have lost its favorite comedian, there is one scene from the series that perfectly sums up how fans all across the globe are feeling right now. In a post on X, a fan page recently shared a still of the scene with Matt LeBlanc and their recliners.

The scene was a sad one, as it took place when Joey moved out of his apartment with Chandler. Their fallout was because of Matthew Perry’s character kissing his roommate’s girlfriend, Kathy. While the boys evidently missed each other, their egos came in the way and did not let them reach out. It is from season 2, episode 7, which was titled, The One Where Ross Finds Out.

While they eventually sorted things out and moved back in together, the scene struck a chord with fans back then and even more now, considering the devastating news of Perry’s passing.

Matthew Perry’s legacy lives on

After the news of Matthew Perry’s demise made its way online, fans have taken their time to share their favorite moments of him from Friends that they will never forget. While the outpouring of love and sadness has poured in from every corner of the globe, the actress who played Kathy, Paget Brewster urged fans to read his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

It tells the story of the actor’s life, right from the beginning of his childhood. He revealed why he resonated with Chandler, using his humor to cover up his insecurities. However, he also spoke about the most trying time of his life, his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. While it might just be a story to most, fans of Matthew Perry understand it took a lot for the star to open up about all these things years after making his way out of the spotlight. In fact, it really could be another piece of the legacy he has left.
