Sweeney told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 that she got a call for the audition for the second season of the dystopian tragedy drama. After the call, she decided to dive head-first into the first season and see what it was all about. She wanted to get a “feeling of the show.”
Interestingly, the actress binged it entirely in a night because she “couldn’t stop watching it.” The 25-year-old watched the entire season again with her mom. The actress has had a successful run in this eight-time Emmy award-winning show.
Following this, Sydney Sweeney went in for the audition and later read the novel this series is based on. Her devotion to her characters was proven again when she told Teen Vogue in 2022 how she creates playlists for each character. Above all, her ambitions set her apart from the crowd.
