How SAG-AFTRA Once Reunited Jennifer Aniston With ’Friends‘
Jennifer Aniston is no stranger to movies and TV shows. Owing to the same, the actress has attended many awards shows and has many accolades to her name. Such events are also stages where actors often open up about issues and heartfelt memories. One such heartwarming interaction was when the star was greeted on stage with a surprise. In 2019, she had an unexpected reunion with two of her beloved co-stars and friends at the SAG-AFTRA awards show.
What followed was an endearing exchange that showcased that their connection was real, like in every episode, interview, and reunion, a friendship that many still drool over.

At the 2019 SAG-AFTRA Foundations Patron of the Artists Awards event, Jennifer Aniston received the Artists Inspiration Award for her philanthropic endeavors. It was at this moment that she was greeted and joined by Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, who portrayed the characters of Monica and Phoebe on the iconic sitcom Friends. A delightful surprise that the trio could hardly hold back from gushing over each other.
The trio hugged each other and shared laughter while Cox and Kudrow jointly presented Aniston with the prestigious award as a token of their everlasting friendship. Additionally, they playfully hinted at their connection from Friends, cleverly avoiding using the word “friends” due to its different meaning, within their personal context. Aniston expressed gratitude for being a part of this “rocket ship of a show.”
The Break-Up actress openly discussed her experiences with the duo and the rest of her Friends castmates taking a trip down memory lane. Furthermore, she reflected on her career journey, starting with a line in a Bob’s Big Boy commercial to eventually landing a role in the beloved comedy. Years down the lane, even now, new stars like Millie Brown also want to work with her.
She expressed admiration for the supportive environment on the set of Friends. Moreover, she highlighted the absence of competition or egos among the six actors who grew and learned together. She also expressed how the six original actors who stayed together for ten seasons have truly become like a knit family. And fans truly cherish that. So much so that the group had not too long ago assembled for a reunion special.
While SAG-AFTRA once re-united Aniston to Cox and Kudrow, the current strike might make fans wait longer for such candid reunions.

The SAG-AFTRA strike has taken over Hollywood since the start of July 2023. The actors’ union is demanding better pay and residuals for streaming services, more regulation of self-tape auditions, and protection against artificial intelligence misuse. Coincidentally, this strike is running along with the WGA strike that started on May 2023. This is the first time that actors and writers have walked out simultaneously in decades.
The dual strikes have caused a major outage in the film and television industry, affecting thousands of projects and workers. Many hugely anticipated movies have already been or are staring at delays. The unions hope that the pressure will force the studios to negotiate a fair contract that reflects the value of their work. However, the studios are remaining firm in that they have put all necessary safeguards in place. A tug-of-war of this sort is taking a toll on big projects.
