The Free Guy star went out of the way after Forde’s wife was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. In the latest episode of Welcome To Wrexham Season 2, the player recalled the time when he had to step away from training to care for his wife Laura, and their newborn child. Forde revealed how Reynolds quickly reached out to him and helped his wife get a second opinion, which played a crucial role in her recovery.

Shortly after Laura gave birth, she started feeling strange and her left arm did not function normally. On getting an MRI scan done a few days later, it was revealed that she had an inoperable brain tumor. The player revealed on the latest episode, “Ryan helped get a second opinion,” before adding, “It’s something that he didn’t have to do.” Interestingly, Reynolds’s help was the turning point for Laura’s battle for health.

The results after the second diagnosis showed a possibility for recovery. Laura revealed that it was the best-case scenario in comparison to the first results. Interestingly, Reynolds’s off-the-field gesture for Forde played a huge role in helping the club on-field.

It did not take long for Anthony Forde to return to the field after Reynolds’s help in his toughest battle. The midfield star alongside his wife Laura embraced their condition as a new normal. As impressive as it may sound, Forde scored in his first appearance at the Racecourse with Laura cheering from the stands. The player’s goal contributed to Wrexham’s 3-0 victory against Yeovil Town in April this year.

The Red Dragons’s victory against Yeovil helped the club significantly in their record-breaking promotion run from the National League. Since then, Wrexham has had quite a time in the Second Division. The team has been on a roll as they enjoyed an unbeaten run in October, whilst also landing their first nominations in the EFL.
