Circe is one of the most lethal female villains in the DC Comics Universe. Having lived for over five thousand years, she is an ancient sorceress who made a blood pact with Hecate, the mother of all magic. Apart from immortality, she possesses goddess-level powers. She can slow down time, teleport, mind control, create magic shields, and manipulate the dead. These are the same powers Diana has, which make them mortal enemies.
Only they both have the potential to stop one another. Circe’s love for power drives her to take extreme measures and eliminate anyone who stands in her path. In comics, she once almost took away Wonder Woman’s powers. However, Diana has beaten her several times in Justice League battles. As for the show, only time will tell how James Gunn will depict her, considering she is one of the biggest foes Wonder Woman ever had.
While Gunn is yet to reveal how Circe factors into Creature Commandos, Anya Chalotra who voices this character, is clearly up for a bigger part in this world of superheroes and villains.

In November 2023, David Harbour, who will lend his voice to Eric Frankenstein in the show, spoke to io9 at the BoxLunch Holiday Gala. During the conversation, he shared his excitement about how the rebooted DC Universe has opened gates for new characters. “I like the concept of a live action and cartoon back and forth,” he teased.
He also added that he had worn prosthetics previously in Hell Boy, so he would not have any issue doing it again. This statement from the actor suggested that, like him, Anya Chalotra could also embody Circe in the live adaptation. With Gunn assuring fans about the new changes in DC, indeed, the DCU revamp has begun full-fledgedly.
