Despite having a worth of $300 million and being one of the most successful stars of Tinseltown, Jennifer Aniston remained humble. Fans believe her to be the nicest of the stars owing to her warm and kind interactions with them. The “Funny Girl of Hollywood” never hesitated to laugh at herself, bringing a charm to her talk show appearances and interviews. However, during an almost decade-old interview, the actress took a departure from her benevolent demeanor. Although it was a playful act, the incident ended up becoming one of the worst nightmares of the host.

During a 2014 interview, the actress frightened an interviewer out of their wits with a hilarious prank. This interview created a lot of buzz online and fans still go back to the video to have a good laugh. 

Jennifer Aniston’s funny prank on an interviewer

While the actress has a history of being pranked on the sets of Friends, she dabbled in pranks herself outside the show. Aniston appeared in an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Chris Stark during her promotions for the Sean Anders movie Horrible Bosses 2. A year earlier, Stark did another interview with Aniston, which went viral owing to the awkward series of questions asked during the conversation.

In a 2014 interview with BBC Radio, Aniston teamed up on a prank with Scott Mills and played the role of the “worst interviewee ever”. The plan was to pretend to get offended by Stark’s question when he asked the Cake actress about what it was like as a famous woman to make the first move on a man. 

Playing her role aptly, the Emmy Award-Winning actress shot back at him, saying that it is not an appropriate question to ask someone who is already in a committed relationship. Putting the interviewer on edge, the actress further went on to say, “I don’t hit on people”. With a look of fear on his face, Stark further questioned her if she was planning to write “erotic fiction”, to which the actress pretended to be annoyed by the line of questioning. It was only after DJ Mills entered the room to break the prank on him that Stark realized what was going on. 

The 36-year-old later gave an interview that proved that he was still not over the hilarious interview which he calls his “nightmare”.

Chris Stark dished on Jennifer Aniston’s prank 

A day after his nightmare, Stark talked about his encounter with the We’re The Millers actress to Grazia Magazine. Upon being asked about what the worst part of the interview was, he replied, “The worst part was just not understanding why she wouldn’t answer my questions”. Stark accepted that he felt he might have crossed a line with the Golden Globe Award-winning actress and that was the “last thing” he wanted. Even Aniston herself could not move on from the hilarious interview. 

Ahead of the release of her 2023 film Murder Mystery 2, the actress Sian Welby reminded her of the 2014 interview, making her jaw drop. The host poked fun at the past interview and said the reason he was doing the interview instead of his co-host Stark was because the latter “is still terrified” of Aniston. He also asked the Just Go With It actress if she still had the “little Watford shirt” Stark gifted her. To which the 54-year responded by saying, “I’m sure I do” and also asked whether the 36-year-old had recovered from the 2014 prank.
