Although there was no revival of the pair, the writers, Steve Koren and Mark O’Keefe, confessed to Syfy Wire about having pitched an idea for the sequel. The movie that never came to maturity did have a name titled Brucifer.
In the supposed continuance, Jennifer Aniston was pictured to portray a zombie. On the other hand, Jim Carrey was supposed to don the Satanic incarnation. The writers also told how “a lot of people loved it, including Jim.” The flick was supposed to phase out the darker side of Bruce following Grace’s death. However, the movie never saw the light of the day.
Even though the dream team jumping for future projects did not work out, Jim Carrey once revealed how they both complemented each other through their differences.
