How Henry Cavill Made His ‘Immortals’ Co-Star Almost Quit Acting Because of His Body
Henry Cavill, that rare breed of beauty and talent, has made a name for himself not only as a leading man but as a gentleman with a penchant for kindness, with co-stars from a decade ago still waxing poetic about their time with him. In an industry where niceties are often as fleeting as a tabloid headline, Cavill’s reputation remains nearly spotless, except, of course, in the case of one actor who, it seems, had a rather different take on the star.
It is hardly a shock that Cavill, the quintessential action hero since his early days, boasts a physique that could give Greek gods a complex. But that very body, the envy of many, became the source of discontent for his Immortals co-star, who nearly quit because of Cavill.

A testimony rivaling hundreds was presented by Henry Cavill's Immortals co-star, Luke Evans. The actor talked about how he had joined the sets of Immortals a bit later than Cavill, as he had been working on another movie with excellent catering. Therefore, when Henry Cavill took off his top for Evans, the sting could not have been any more harsh. The actor revealed on the Men's Health UK podcast that he immediately said, "I can’t do this," as he looked at the actor's brooding physique.
The fall, however, did not last very long as, alongside Cavill, the actor got into an intense bootcamp that had him lose most of the extra weight within a matter of weeks. This journey, however, became more personal to the actor than physical, as he came to many self-realizations. While he wanted to be out due to Cavill, the actor, and of course his intense bootcamp, became the reason behind him staying.
The famous Henry Cavill body that at this point has a persona of its own, however, was not always what it is now.
The story behind Henry Cavill's abs
While the camera has often gotten to experience the best of Henry Cavill, with nearly every movie he has done boasting of a shirtless scene, the days before that came were starkly different. Cavill has revealed on various occasions that he was called "fat Cavill" as a child. Owing to his chubby appearance, the actor was often bullied by his schoolmates.

This chubby Cavil persona, aided by his love for all things nerdy, makes Henry Cavill, despite his brooding Greek God appearance, as relatable as the boy next door, not just for his fans but also for co-stars. More importantly, it ensures no bad press for the actor.
