After dancing in the dark with Bruce Springsteen in 1984, Courteney Cox landed the role of Monica Geller and became famous overnight. As Friends took off, her dating life became as exciting as her on-screen romances. While Monica hooked up with the likes of Dr. Richard Burke and Chandler Bing, the actress also enjoyed the company of some notable men in the industry. The Alabama native dated Michael Keaton and was married to David Arquette for about 14 years.

But the American superstar never shared the chemistry with anyone like Johnny McDaid, whom she met at a star-studded party ten years ago. In her latest interview, Cox recalled how she met her longtime beau.

Courteney Cox recently graced the cover of Marie Claire and sat down with them to talk about her life and career. During the conversation, she was reminded of the time when she was a newbie in show business. The 59-year-old moved to California alone and had no family or friends to spend time with. So the actress hosted dinner parties at her place to meet new people every weekend and has never stopped doing it. Another good reason behind it is the fact that it was one of these dinner parties that led her to find her husband.

“People will call and say, ‘Hey, is it okay if I bring three friends?’said Cox in her interview with Marie Claire. The Cougar Town star always opened her home and heart to new people, considering it as a chance to meet someone cool. Fortunately for her, she met the love of her life Johnny McDaid at one of those parties. The musician came along with his friend and collaborator, Ed Sheeran, and the rest is history.

Courteney Cox turned to her Instagram on July 25 to celebrate one decade with Johnny McDaid in a unique way. Instead of thanking fate, she expressed gratitude to Ed Sheeran. The Emmy-nominated actress recounted how the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer put her and her husband’s love story in motion. She posted a sweet video collage featuring pictures of her with her husband and Sheeran. “10 years ago, this guy introduced me to…” read the caption on the clip.

Not just that, the post included a video of the ‘Perfect’ singer singing his iconic song ‘Shape of You’, but with a twist. “Although your heart is fallin’. Johnny’s in love with your body. And last night you were in his room,” sang the 32-year-old. Despite facing many problems during their courtship and marriage, the couple has stayed strong and did not give up on each other. Cox, who has been against divorce her whole life, has finally found someone who understands her truly.
