Shows that have managed to have the same impact as House of the Dragon are few and far between. From keeping the magic of the original source alive to carving a legacy arguably greater than its predecessor Game of Thrones, the show has rightfully gained the title of generational television. In order to claim this throne, however, House of the Dragon has opted for some drastic measures ranging from separating loved ones to killing off some of the most loved characters.

While fans are used to their favorite series' opting to kill a fan-favorite character such as Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, House of the Dragon is no ordinary series and neither were the deaths fans witnessed in Season 2 mere character deaths. With two beloved characters already down and a few more on the list according to fan suspicions, there is one character whose safety they are desperately vouching for and it is none other than the dear old Ghost, Jon Snow's direwolf.

The deaths of their loved characters in House of the Dragon Season 2 had fans scrambling to send out requests, threats, and more appeals of various degrees in order to ensure the safety of the loyal Ghost. Unlike most series' where a pet is often used as an accessory to a main character's storyline, Ghost is a main character on his own.

As the season moves ahead, fans have sensed the danger and are begging for worst to not happen in their own unique ways on X.

With the current outrage surrounding House of the Dragon on X, it will not be surprising if fans set up a council in order to protect Ghost. Although it may seem excessive to some, the direwolf deserves every bit of the love and care that it is being showered. One of the six direwolf pups found by the Stark children, Ghost has earned his place through his loyalty, and as fans fight for his safety, it has become the loudest chant.

While others waxed poetic about how loyal the dog has been to Jon Snow, a fan went the extra mile to write they want the last shot of the season to be him, all hunky dory.

Some fans even argued that he should be named hand of the king. After all, he has displayed all the qualities that it takes to be named one. However, even as they put up a strong fight for the direwolf, fans have gotten well versed with the tricks of the House of the Dragon creator, and are gearing up for the worst.
