Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship with the media has left no stone unturned ever since they decided to step down as the Royals. Despite the couple’s unending attempts to distance themselves from the web of controversies, the result has been futile. Most of this claim credits to the Royal experts and analysts, but new players have also joined the fray.

After the Invictus Games, fans assumed that the light of mercy had finally got the best of them. However, the recent Family Guy episode shows the situation might not be such smooth sailing. Although the internet loves feeding on such altercations, one cannot affirm if the couple or the Royal Family enjoys the popularity to the same extent.

Royal experts accuse the Sussex couple of compromising royal reputation

The Sussexes just cannot catch a break. While they were only beginning to pick up the shattered glasses of their reputation as the result of Family Man‘s getting paid to do “No one knows what,” snide, they have been found guilty by a royal expert again. A royal expert, Dr. Owens, has criticized their decision to “air their dirty laundry in public.” Additionally, in an episode with Pod Save the King, he accused the couple of being out for the Royal Family’s repuation.

He explained how the former Royals’ decision to quit their ties had been detrimental to disrupting the flow of the family tree. He further attacked, “And then of course we’ve had the Sussexes airing their dirty laundry in public for the best part of three years – and again it has done much damage to that narrative of happy family life.”

Whether the expert’s opinion holds weight is debatable, but one thing is for sure: The Sussexes are magnets to criticisms and digs. Given their history of roast, it is hard to imagine that the couple will be Spare-d unscathed this time, even amidst their bestselling records.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s privacy is at stake

It is not the first time that the Sussex pair’s privacy has been the topic of banter. Earlier this year, an episode from the South Park sitcom took a dig at them. While the characters were not given names, the caricatures were too fitting for anyone to second guess. South Park at least gave the couple the benefit of the doubt by not naming them, but Chris Rock did not spare the couple when he took the stage a few months ago.

Over time, the couple has also reacted to these unending series of banter while maintaining a healthy relationship. While the speculations might ignite uncertainty amongst the public, these two surely know how to outgrow these talks. But should Markle’s rumored memoir see the light of day, the criticisms will surely increase tenfold.
