Despite rumors of her being snubbed, fans cheered as the Kardashian- Jenner sisters appeared on point with this year’s theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, chosen by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

It was the year 2013 when the Kardashian first met her debut at an exclusive event with Kanye West. She was pregnant at the time with her first child with the rapper. But with four children, she continues to be the biggest head turner at the fashion gala even today. Just hours after her appearance at this year’s event, she shared a throwback to an old shoot.

A look back on Kim Kardashian’s Shoot with Karl Lagerfeld

Kim Kardashian paid tribute to late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld hours after dressing up for the MET Gala this year. The Instagram stories gave multiple throwbacks from her 2013 shoot when she was pregnant. This was a shoot for the CR fashion cover, and her first time working with the German fashion designer. The first photo was of hers lying in front of a camera in a creamy full-sleeved turtleneck, as Lagerfeld gave directions to the photographer.

She wore a full-length coat between the shoot while speaking to him in the second picture. The third was hilariously captioned ‘my bag’, which Kris Jenner wore in a pose with the designer. The fourth one properly explained how she was pregnant with North West at the time. The legendary designer himself could be seen clicking her in the last photo.

Coincidentally, the shoot happened in the same year as her MET Gala debut at the time. Years later, in 2019, the German designer passed away and Kardashian’s dress for the Karl Lagerfeld inspired Gala was on point.

There were reports of the MET Gala list curb to make it more exclusive. While fans were unsure of the Kardashian’s presence, she again took to social media about her visit to the late designer’s office in Paris. Apparently, the SKIMS owner got inspiration from being there.

She covered herself in 50,000 real pearls, with the help of her daughter, North West, for her costume to pay homage to Lagerfeld in a dress designed by Schiaparelli. It will be seen how she outdoes herself in the next year.
