The Oscar-winning director appeared on The F—ing News podcast, where James Cameron described Donald Trump's re-election as "horrific" and "sickening," comparing it to watching a disastrous car crash unfold repeatedly. Frustrated by Trump's continued presence in the media, he expressed his exhaustion with seeing his face dominate headlines. Cameron also stated that his New Zealand citizenship was nearly finalized, suggesting he might distance himself from US politics.

The owner of a dairy farm in South Wairarapa since 2012, James Cameron allegedly announced his intention to make New Zealand his permanent home. He declared that he had planned to leave the United States for good. Having lived in New Zealand for more than 20 years, Cameron stressed the importance of effort, respect, and belonging in a community—values he wanted his children to learn. However, this is not the first time a celebrity has called Trump out.

Hunter Schafer, the actress from Euphoria, showed extreme disappointment when she learned that an executive order from Donald Trump had caused her new passport to mistakenly reflect her gender as male. In reaction, she posted a TikTok video in which she praised the trans community's resilience and strongly criticized the administration. Schafer had declared that  "Trans people are beautiful" and they will not stop existing, reinforcing her steadfast support for trans rights.

Schafer filed for a new passport after having her old one stolen in Barcelona, making sure to indicate that she was a woman. She believed this issue occurred because the gender marker on her birth certificate remained the same, but the document designated her as male.
