Earlier in May, JLo’s new movie, The Mother, was released on Netflix ahead of Mother’s Day. While the actress didn’t have much time to share motherly advice in the movie, JLo has recently shared one that has helped her reach where she was now.

Ahead of the release of the movie, JLo was actively involved in the promotion of the movie. For the same, Lopez spent two minutes with Netflix Tudum with co-star, Lucy Paez, who plays her daughter in the movie. Both actresses were asked to share a piece of advice their mothers gave them. To this, JLo answered that the best advice her mother gave her was “to be okay on your own.” Not only this, she also advised her to not run after “likes and acceptances” from others. Paez, on the other hand, answered that her mom has always advised her to “stay one step ahead.” 

Looking at JLo’s journey, it seems that she has applied the same wisdom in each and every step of her life. This has definitely helped her attain the remarkable success she enjoys today. In the podcast, he continued to explain that whenever he starts to sing her song; she joins him. This makes him feel embarrassed in a good way, as JLo does it without so much effort and with beauty.
