However, it seems that several high-profile fantasy franchises and their fandoms are eyeing Sydney Sweeney for another shot at it. Although it is hard to pin down the Star Wars franchise to one genre, Sydney Sweeney has been rumored to be eyed for a role in it for quite some time now.

Finally, after much speculation, a Hollywood insider has dropped a massive clue on what role she is likely to take in the epic space opera media franchise.

Earlier this month, the popular X page MyTimeToShineHello reported that Sydney Sweeney allegedly had a meeting with Lucasfilm. It was this rumor that gave rise to speculations about her being in talks with the production house for a Star Wars role. Just weeks after the rumor surfaced, MyTimeToShineHello shared another update of Sweeney being eyed to play a Jedi in the next Star Wars installment.

Currently, the Star Wars films that are in production are the Daisy Ridley-led sequel rumored to be titled Star Wars: A New Beginning, Dave Filoni's crossover event, and James Mangold's First Jedi story with a working title, Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi. A potential role in Star Wars could help Sweeney to redeem herself following the disaster of Madame Web. But despite the box-office bomb of the Sony project, Sweeney still seems grateful for the opportunity.

In an interview conducted earlier this year, Sweeney shared how this one flop made way for her biggest box-office hit, Anyone But You.

Sydney Sweeney sat down for an interview with Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz in March this year. During the conversation, the Euphoria star explained how she got the role in Anyone But You. Referring to Madame Web as her “building block,” Sweeney shared that it was after she was cast in her first studio project (Madame Web) that she started "building the packages for both Immaculate and Anyone But You".

Upon getting her Sony role in Madame Web, the actress reached out to the studio to “build a relationship.” And that is how she got her role in the sleeper hit, Anyone But You. “I would never have been able to do that without Madame Web,” said the 26-year-old. It looks like Madame Web has not only given Sweeney her rom-com success but has also opened new doors for her to explore the fantasy world in cinema.
