Henry Cavill’s ‘Highlander’ Reboot Will Be a Fervent Tribute to the Immortal Legacy of the Original ‘Highlander’, Reveals Director
The world attests to the caliber of Henry Cavill as an actor. From his debut as Man of Steel in 2013 to his dive into the magical realm of the fantasy genre in The Witcher series, the star has consistently demonstrated his love for the supernatural genre. Now, further adding to his list of blockbuster movies is another masterpiece in the making as Henry Cavill gets his name attached to Connor MacLeod.

After seven years of waiting and hoping for updates on the development of the Highlander reboot starring Henry Cavill, fans have finally received some positive news. In an interview with Screen Rant, Chad Stahelski talked about his vision for the Highlander reboot. The director revealed that his love for the original is what drove him to join the franchise in the first place. He plans to use the features that worked in the first movie, such as the “ancillary stuff” for the reboot.
Apart from the ancillary stuff, the director also plans to dip his fingers into the mythology of the original. Ultimately, he is not planning to curb the plot of its reboot. This is further proved by the confirmation of Henry Cavill as a lead. Stahelski seems to have secured success to some level with Cavill’s casting. However, the movie remains his most ambitious effort to date.
While the Highlander reboot given the actor and the original attached to it may be one of the most anticipated projects Chad Stahelski has in the pipeline, it is not the only one.
