Henry Cavill’s Epic Ab-Building Journey Is the Perfect Way to Mark 12 Years of His Fitness Journey on ‘Immortals’
Henry Cavill and his acting career have been short of no genres to conquer. Before adhering to the seat as the Last Son of Krypton, he had already marked his legacy in the fantasy-fiction cartel. The flick Immortals, loosely built upon the Greek mythology of Theseus and the Minotaur had grossed an estimated $226M in the box office. Henry Cavill skinned the role of Theseus for this project and went through rigorous training.
Although his Superman role model debut was not too far from Immortals, his physique score for the latter continued as an immortal inspiration, persisting even after 12 years. However, the actor himself was not too confident about the same.

Henry Cavill’s popularity in his childhood was neither immortal nor very super. Previously, the British-American actor had revealed instances of him getting bullied owing to his weight. However, his journey from being coerced to unraveling his chiseled core is a guide for standing tall. While filming for Immortals, the Man of Steel actor revealed his anxiety about performing shirtless scenes that required a perfect eight-pack to IMDb.
He disclosed that his fear of losing a vein every morning had got the best of him. However, the 40-year-old refused the use of make-up for his physique, as that could be misleading. Cavill said, “I don’t want you to put dirt in the right places. I just want to do it myself. I want to have the body.” Whoever had wondered that this could be the start of the journey of a decade-long drive for upliftment!
Although his philosophy resounds wisdom, his journey toward the core-chiseled tone body was not an easy achiever.

Henry Cavill’s journey to adhere to the level of Greek Gods is aspirational, to say the least. Hence, even though Cavill’s upcoming release has a tentative date, one still has to look back 12 years ago to trace it right. According to reports, the Justice League actor had burnt 6% of his body fat to portray Theseus. Not only that, he had also built steely eight-pack abs to get into the skin. The crew had reportedly addressed Mark Twight for training the army of 300 with taut midriffs.
Mark Twight’s training comprised a 100-rep workout for the purpose of calorie burn and fat melt. The training was called “tailpipe” and it consisted of four core-body exercises. Henry Cavill’s commendable commitment remains evident as he successfully navigated through this uncompromised drill, a testament not only to his gratitude to his audience but also to his personal dedication.
